To Michael, Donna, Richard, Janet and all my other cousins, I am so glad that I got to be closer to your Dad over the last few years. He was so smart and funny. I loved emailing him things and hearing his comments. I am grieving with you all and will always remember him as "Uncle Mickey" even though he preferred "Uncle Michael." The last few cards he signed "Uncle M"--I guess we came to a compromise. I love you all dearly. Barbara

On behalf of the 303rd Bomb Group Association, we offer our sincere condolences to all the family. It is especially sad when we lose a 303rd Bomb Group comrade. Each veteran takes a part of the Group's history with him when he passes. We know we will all meet again and look forward to that grand reunion in the next life.

I remember your dad("Mr Z") as a proud and distinguished man, but with a warmth and kindness that I felt whenever I was in his presence. I so enjoyed talking with him, you never quite knew when his wit would take over the conversation!
Well for now, until we see him again, he is with your mom and safe in God's hands. He will be greatly missed by us all.
