Not sure what to say?

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Mike was a great guy - filled with laughter and always ready to share a joke or two. His jovial, fun loving character made him a joy to be around. It was a true pleasure and honor to have known and worked with Mike. May he rest in peace and his family take heart in knowing others share in their loss.

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Zimmer family in this time of pain and sorrow. Mike and I go way back to the days of Dayton Street on the west side. Although life took us in different directions, music continued to be the common thread that brought us together over the years. It was a friendship that always picked up where it left off, uninterrupted by geographical distance or the passing of time.

Though he left us here to finish our work, he did not leave us...

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Zimmer Family. Mike was a dear GVSU friend. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

UE, the reason you are missed so, so much is because there is no one else quite like you. I have great memories of going to your house when I was younger with my dad to visit you and Austyn, the excess garlic from your cooking wafting from the kitchen, raiding your fridge, playing on your organ, going out to Grand Haven to hear you play at Porto Bello... I will always hold those memories close and and look on them with great happiness.

Hi Zimmer Clan,

I am sorry to hear of Mike's passing. We went to Sacred Heart and West Catholic together. Also an accompanist, we played for plenty of choral activities. Mike was essentially one of my piano teachers; he introduced me to improvization and how to identify chords. Best of happiness to all in the days to come.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. It's always a shock to hear there's no more time to visit. I'm glad I got to work with him for the time that I did. Mike was a riot. Always joking and just a wonderful guy. He will be greatly missed. Sending my love, hugs, & prayers.

Little Brother (Uncle Weasel), you're killing me right now and a lot of other people too. And I don't know what to do or say. But remembering the good times is the one thing that's helping. Like the time you and I flew to NY in 04F and how you somehow held it together (I still don't know how you did it), when I involved you so personally and unceremoniously after finally succumbing to the unrelenting turbulence as we approached Syracuse, and the delight you took relating (and embellishing...

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Rest in Peace Mike. You will be missed. My deepest sympathy to the Zimmer Family.
