I was just thinking about Michael this morning and our monitoring visits in Eureka. What a great guy he was. Miss you Michael

This is such a shocking loss. I went to High School with Mike and we had emailed earlier this year, having a few laughs at some old memories. My sincerest sympathies to his family. I will always remember him as smart & witty. gary ritter anderson

Mike was a valiant warrior for children -- I am proud of his caring, compassionate work on behalf of children. His loss is so sad.

Michael was a wonderful person. I was totally shocked about his death. I retired in 2010 and didn't know about Michael's illness. God bless his family during this time. I worked with Michael at DDS and saw him many times at CDE where I also worked also. He will be truly missed. Great smile, always a big smile on his face.

My condolences to Michael's family and my high-fives for helping him live life to the fullest. I worked with Michael at the CA Department of Education. He brought together people to knit a fabric of care and education for young children. He was always in good spirits. Ada Hand

Christine, You are your father's daughter. Your quick wit, big laugh, and the "don't mess with me look" is your Dad. He loved everything about you and was so happy and proud you were his daughter. I know it's hard without him, but remember he is always in your heart. Your Dad and I aways shared stories about you and laugh about what is going on in you mind.
