I'm going to miss you dearly my friend.. You were the most kind and genuine person anyone could ever meet. It didn't matter what race, color, creed or background you had. I met you when I was a little girl: I would come over every day to play with your cats and you would take me and Em to 5 mile pond to go swimming.. You've done a lot of good in this cruel messed up world but now you've gained your crown and wings. I still can't believe you are gone but you will never be forgotten.. Rest...

Michaelann, you were a strong influence in my life, you taught me how to be an advocate for those of us who needed the services of Arise for Social Justice. I am blessed to have had the chance to know you and work with you and I am thankful for the many things you have done for my family and the many other people who benefited from your hard work. We had a lot of fun times together, I will miss you my dear sister in the struggle for social justice and my dear friend, thank you Michaelann.

You were a fierce lil warrior who never stopped loving, never stopped fighting and never stop seeing the positives in people! You were an ear to listen to upset and experiences in housing hell. I can only hope to be a smigen of your compassionate and loving fierce heart Michaelann!

I did not know Michaelann personally but I knew of her through her work against the biomass plant.
I had read many articles about her throughout the years and was always impressed with her "fighting the good fight "for those less fortunate.
Springfield lost a good advocate for the poor when Michaelann joined the angels in heaven.
I did admire and respect her although I may not have agreed with her on all issues.
Please accept my deepest condolences and know that she...

I remember Michaelann so well, and always admired her. Way back in the mid 70's when I managed the first Subway in Springfield, at the X' on Sumner Ave, Michaelann was a person you saw out on the streets. She was active in her mission to help others and live a simply life.
As the years went on, and Michaelann took such a stand for the marginalized, I would strive to be more Christ like. She walked with Jesus. I mean, she truly walked as Jesus walked.
Michaelann, pray for all of...
