Michele K. Dreistadt Hohider, "Fluff" or "Hazel," 52, of Scottdale, formerly of Penn, lost her battle with breast cancer Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. She was a true Wonder Woman until her final breath. Michele's strength, courage and love will prevail. Her fight with breast cancer was with such grace and dignity, a true inspiration to us all. Michele was born Dec. 20, 1964, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Edward T. and Mercedes Brosius Dreistadt. She was a senior finance clerk for the Westmoreland County Controller's office. Michele will always be remembered for her love of life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece and friend. Michele loved to cook and bake. She was an avid walker, and very hard to keep pace with. Her favorite color was orange, and she loved camping with her family in Fulton County. So many chemo and radiation treatments could not keep her down. Her courage and strength kept us going strong. In addition to her parents, Michele was predeceased by her father- and mother-in-law, John E. and Margaret Hohider. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark P. Hohider; her "little man," Samuel, the love of her life; her sisters, Cheryl Gogolsky, and husband, Mark, Nancy Spino, and husband, Frank, Lisa Jeannette, and husband, Tony, and Beth Kazousky, and husband, John; brothers, Douglas and Matthew Dreistadt; a sister-in-law, Michelle Hohider; brothers-in-law, John Hohider, and wife, Donna, and Mike Hohider, and wife, Deborah; her aunts, Regina Capar and Margaret Lohr; her goddaughters, Danielle Gogolsky Lebe and Hannah Kazousky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her very much.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 North 2nd St., Jeannette. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Ranch Road, Dunbar, PA 15431. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Michele's family for a future educational fund to be established for her son, Samuel.

I am so sorry for our loss of such a kind soul. I did Michelle's hair for many years and could never have enough of her contagious loving energy. As I mentioned to her before moving on to another dimension, " I wish you a safe journey and I hope that we can meet again." "Michelle, please continue to be among us, as a Gardian Angel."
