Michele Davidow Kahn

I was stunned and so saddened to learn of Michele's death. I grew up in Patchogue in Arline's class and my younger brother was in Michele's. To me she is, and always will be,a little kid trying to play with the "big girls." My heart goes out to the family--the ones I know-Arline, Saundra, Sanford, Harry--and to the ones I never had the good fortune of meeting--her husband and children.I am so sorry for your profound loss...

I admire Michele for her real spirit in early voyages to Eastern Europe. I have grown up in Poland under communism and met wonderful explorers like her. Michele's eye for art is what made her special i believe -- there is so much beauty and simple art around us, we just need to open our eyes. Michele had her eyes open and enjoyed life. That's how I wish we shall remember her. Sincere condolences to the family.
