Michele Susan (Leaf) Paretti

Michele Susan (Leaf) Paretti, age 65, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Mio, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, Texas. Cremation has already taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Michele was born on August 9, 1957 to Frederick Rodney & Beverly Joyce (Utting) Leaf in Detroit, Michigan. Michele’s formative years were spent in West Bloomfield, MI where she graduated in 1975 from Birmingham Groves High School. The Leaf family relocated to Mio, MI later that year.

Michele married Frank Paretti on November 14, 1986, and resided in Mio until 1994, when they moved to Mount Pleasant, MI.

Michele started working at the Oscoda County Courthouse in Mio, MI in 1979, and worked in the juvenile/probate court for 14 years.  After relocating to Mount Pleasant, Michele worked at Whittford Chiropractic for many years. Michele always enjoyed working, and made many close friends along the way. Michele also enjoyed reading, watching the fire with Frank that they had every night during the summer, and spending time with her family and friends. During the winter months, Michele and Frank would travel to Texas to stay with their eldest daughter and her family.

Michele was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Rodney &Beverly Leaf; step-mother, Helen Leaf; her sister, Kathleen Osterbeck, mother & father in law Betty & Stanley Luttenbacher, and brother in law Mark Willett.

Michele is survived by her husband Frank; daughters: Andi (Phil) Gengler, Danielle (Joseph) Anderson; Grandchildren: Hayley Gengler, Maizee (Chris) Boyd, Star, and Dylan Gengler, Kyra Trofatter, Blayden and Holley Anderson; siblings: Larry (Jodi) Leaf, Carol (Bill) Ellis, Leslie Willett, and Gary (Tammy) Leaf; sister in law Kathleen Paretti, brother in law Tom Luttenbacher and many nieces and nephews
