Not sure what to say?

What a splendid book about Oradour sur Glane. I was there last summer, but after reading the book I sure will return to Oradour better understanding what happend there. Michele thanks for the book and rest well.

I saw a cardinal fly to a branch the day you died And I knew your soul had come to comfort me You have left this life dear friend But the stars will light my memories The wind will carry your voice to me You will walk along side of me For you are forever in my heart.

Why I was brought to open this incredibly loving obituary I do not know. What I do know is I wish I had the blessing to know her. May she rest in peace knowing even in her final tribute she brought comfort and joy to others. Soar with the angels.

The first time I saw Michele, she was sitting in a lawn chair at 411 Forest Avenue with a book in hand. Her hair was straight (!!) and cut at her chin line. My first thought was; Wow, she is beautiful. We had a beautiful friendship that shared the spectrum of events in each of our lives from young wives, middle age and getting older. She said I knew all of her secrets (And she knew mine.) I will miss her for the rest of my life, but have a treasure trove of memories from times of support...

There is already a void in my life with the loss of my dearest and best friend Michele. We could talk and talk on the phone and never run out of subject matter. Actually the best thing about Emma Willard was meeting Michele. We had so many fun adventures. We traveled to East Africa, a riverboat trip through Russia, and my little red Volkswagen through many parts of Europe. She truly was blessed with a loving family. Of course, Owen was the apple of her eye.!! Heaven will be a better place...

My first and only moment with Michele was reading this outstanding obituary. We should all be so lucky -- what a wonderful life and a wonderful story about that life. Well, done, author. May Michele's memory be a blessing. (I saw this because I am a fellow Smith alum, Ada Comstock Scholar, Class of 2001.)
