Not sure what to say?

You will always be remembered, Michele. Rest in peace.

I remember Michele fondly. Both of attended Southern Illinois University and were neighbors and friends. She was a brave woman. She suffered so from her injuries from the fire. May you rest in peace.

It, too, went to OLA, but from 1964-1967. I've just finished reading To Sleep With The Angels and now The Fire That Never Dies. Both are very emotional books to read. Thank you Michele for the insite to someone who was burned. You were a beautiful person and now a beautiful Angel.

Missing & loving you little sister.

l just read Michele´s book The Fire That Will Not Die. l am so impressed by her message of perseverance and courage under such incredible circumstances. Her honesty and truthfulness about her feelings were an inspiration. May you dance in Heaven free from pain. I am happy you lived. You will be missed.

Praying for the eternal repose of Michelle's soul that she may be at peace in God's Eternal Light and Love. I have read the book she wrote multiple times. It is so inspiring! She was a courageous soul at such a young age after suffering from the effects of the OLA fire. Condolences to the entire family whom Michelle dearly loved.

miss you everyday and love you little sister. Peace

On this anniversary of Michelle's death, I pray she is resting peacefully in the Light and Love of God. She was a courageous soul. The victims of the OLA fire are always in my thoughts and prayers.

I am now a Franciscan Sister/teacher living on the east coast keeping all the children and Sisters who died in the fire close...
