West Springfield – Michelle R. (Denno) DiStefano, 53, died peacefully Thursday morning after a brief illness at Baystate Hospital surrounded by her two children, family, and close friends.  Michelle was born in Holyoke, grew up in East Longmeadow and graduated from East Longmeadow High School in 1988.  Michelle was the daughter the late Irene Bernacki (Denno), Frederick Denno, and stepmother Judith Denno.  Michelle worked as a self-employed Nail Technician for years and most recently worked as an Administrative Assistant for Mestek Inc. in Westfield. She loved spending time with her two sons, trips to the Cape, and time spent with friends.  She leaves her two sons Alexander and Nathaniel; her father Frederick Denno and his wife Judith; three brothers and their spouses; Gregory and Cathryn, William and Paula, and Roger and Renee; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and many dear friends.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home starting at 4:00 pm and concluding with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. So very sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your Mom. She was truly a wonderful lady to work with and to have fun with at parties. You and your entire family are in our prayers to give you strength during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.
