SWARTZ, Michelle Lee, 22, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. She is survived by her mother, Debra Swartz; and her father, Mike Swartz and stepmom, Lori; maternal grandmother, Hazel Riley; paternal grandfather, Barry Sweitzer; aunts and uncles, Angela, Jackie and Jody; and extended family and friends. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 27, at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., and where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment Hanover Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Hospital, 2924 Brook Rd., Richmond, Va. 23220, or the Neuro-Science Dept., c/o VCU Health Systems, 1250 E. Marshall St., Richmond, Va. 23298.

Michelle I miss you so very much you will always be my best friend and family I know your up in heaven making everyone laugh like we were all the time I just wish I could give a big hug and tell you I love you again Im always gonna remember our dynamic duo you will always be in my heart and for mike deb and lori I am really sorry for your loss with Michelle she was a very special best friend to me and family continuous prayers

I just learned of Michelle's passing and am deeply saddened. (Sorry this is belated, but I was out of town most of the summer). I taught Michelle at Cold Harbor and saw her occasionally when I visited SJMS and LDHS.
I'll always remember her infectious laugh and kind heart. She was always willing to help her fellow classmates.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that you will hold on to your memories of Michelle, for they will give you peace, in time.

Michelle was a classmate I will always remember her smile and the laughter she brought to our class. so sorry to hear of your loss.

Debra-I still can't believe my "spunky" girl and your angel is gone. I know I just met her, but she made quite an impression on me that will last a lifetime. My thoughts are with you during this hard time and always.
