Michelle "Mitzie" Wightman

Obituary

Wightman, Michelle (Jarvis) "Mitzie" Age 61, was born February 13, 1951. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Dixon and Anna Jarvis. She passed away on December 20, 2012 at 8pm, after a difficult battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was an intelligent, fun, and witty woman. She loved to read, and from this she gained a vast knowledge of many things, always able to answer any question you might have. She was a loving and wonderful mother to her son and daughter, Thayer and Hillary Wightman. She enjoyed talking to her daughter daily, and living at home with her son. An exceptional gardener, she created an amazing and beautiful garden haven in the backyard of the home she made with her husband, Dayton Wightman. She spent most of her days in this garden, planting, watering, and caring for it. She also had an immense collection of orchids, and always looked forward to seeing them bloom. She loved animals and would help them in any way she could. Every lost dog or injured bird she came across was lovingly taken in, cared for and found a good home. In addition to her children and husband, she is survived by her parents, Dixon and Anna Jarvis of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Her sister, Shawn Jarvis of St. Cloud, MN. Her nephew, Alex Jarvis and niece, Elly Jarvis. Her passion for the things she loved was an inspiration to many. She was a caring, honest, and compassionate person who will be dearly missed. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in the spring. Memorials may be made in her name to the Animal Humane Society. Email h.wightman @hotmail.com to be notified of service info or to leave reflections. We love you Little Mommy.

Life after Death...

Sometimes you get it right the first time and it defines your life.

Sometimes you get it right the first time and it defines your life.

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.

Dear Dayton and family...
May God comfort you with his love through the prayers of those who care about you, and may you feel his love for you through family and friends that surround you. Praying he will bring peace to your hearts.
