Not sure what to say?

I played Little League ball with Mickey. He was easily our best player, but he never acted like he was better than anybody else. He was a good guy who liked and was liked by all his teammates and opposing players alike.

Gone way too early. I played Little League with him in Newburgh. Elks Little League. Team was the Hawks. We wore green uniforms. Mickey was easily our best player and far and away the best player in the league. With Mickey leading the way we won everything there was to win in 1960. Great memories.

I will never forget Mickey Scott, since Mickey along with Richard Billings were my favorite players when I was a child in the early 70s. They were the best players of the "Zulia Eagles" team in Venezuela.

I remember on December 17, of 1971, when he pitch 13 innnings with 40 degrees of temperature at 12 noon. He was an outstanding pitcher.

And on January 9, of 1972 when a crowd of fans of the "Zulia Eagles" team went to receive the players at the Maracaibo Airport, for...

Mickey was my Little League teammate in Newburgh. We were on the Hawks in the Elks League. He was our best player, but he never strutted around as if he was letting us know that. He was the first off the bench to greet you if you did something good. He also patted you on the back and encouraged you if you made a mistake. We didnt have an official captain, but he was our captain. We were so proud of him when he made good in the majors
God must have needed a #1 starter because Mickey went...

Well Mick: It's been over a year, I can't believe it. Think of you often. I know they had a golf tournament in your honor. How wonderful. You are missed and never forgotten. Love you, Cheryl Fischer Middendorf

Here it is July 11, 2012, and I only now learned of Mickey's passing. He and I played high school baseball in Marlboro, NY, and we were on the 1963 Championship team that season. He was an excellent pitcher and all-around great guy. I remember not only his pitching skills, but also his smile and sense of humor. He made the whole team feel great. I miss you deeply, Mickey, but we'll meet again, I'm sure. Thanks for being a part of my life.
May you rest in the great peace and glory...

Time is too fleeting...wish I had more opportunities to hear Uncle Mickey's stories and his laughter. It seems impossible that I won't see his car in the driveway when I drive by the house on Vestal Ave. He will be missed. So sorry for Aunt Linda and Kevin! Love, Laura
