Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Miguel's death. I am so sorry. He was my favorite professor at Stanford. I enjoyed evidence and was his teaching assistant my third year. He let my parents stay at his house when they came for graduation. After I graduated we continued to communicate. Of all the things he did in life he was most proud of his two daughters. Every letter he wrote would describe something extraordinary they were doing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

This is so hard to believe. Miguel had a spirit and life force that I somehow could not imagine would not be there. He was my colleague at Stanford Law and taught me how to teach. He was also a dear friend. I will miss him and remember him always. My heart goes ou to the family. I will keep you in my prayers.

Mike, you were such a wonderful example for us when we attended Brownsville High School, Class of '61. Being in your presence gave us that courage and confidence that we could achieve our goals in life regardless that we came from the "sleepy little town on the border so far removed from everything".
