Needless to say by the end of the day...

In 1992 Gene Thorsett had the foresight to recruit Miguel as a consultant for Athena Neurosciences (now Elan). As a medicinal chemistry I was quite familiar with Miguel’s work on captopril and looked forward to meeting him and possibly getting some help on our existing programs. Your legacy will live for ever. You inspired so many young people to become scientist and beyond. You will never be forgotten.

Dear Josephine and family of Miguel,
our hearts go out to you in sorrow and sympathy over the loss of your wonderful husband, father, scientist and artist!
We especially remember his love and talent for sculpture! May God's loving grace be with you during this painful and sad time.
He suffered so much and so long and you suffered with him!
God's blessings and peace be with you now!
Fondly, Ursula and family

Miguel was a wonderful man with many great talents. The world is a better place for his having lived in it.

With deepest sympathy,
Gloria

Miguel Ondetti's family,
Miguel's legacy is rich with wonderful memories for many, many people. For me, it was the privilege to count myself as a colleague at the Squibb Institute for Medical Research, where Miguel's work ethic and approach to science was an inspiration to all. Thank you for those memories Miguel.

Miguel was a great scientist and a wonderful man. His loss will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Miguel:
Thank you for all the inspiration,
Guidance and support,
That you provided over all these years,
We will all miss you !
