Miguel Rangel

Miguel Rangel, (87), of La Puente, California, passed away on July 5th, 2023, after a long and difficult illness.  Miguel, affectionately known as Don Miguel or Tata, was born on September 29, 1935, in Naco, Sonora, Mexico.  

He was a loving father and a talented athlete who loved playing baseball.  He played well into his 50’s.  

He spent a lot of his free time teaching/coaching his sons how to play ball and attending their games.  He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends and neighbors as well as working on cars.  

Miguel is survived by his wife Carmen and their three children, Martin, German, Darlene and 5 grandchildren.
He is also survived by his daughters Ana Maria, Maria Dolores, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews. 

Miguel was predeceased by his son Miguel.  

Miguel lovingly opened his heart and his home to Celia, Michelle, Carmen, Jose Adrian (Jr.), Caesar & Maria to help raise them. He was also a caring foster parent to many other children.

Aside from his love for family, friends & baseball, Miguel had an awesome (sometimes inappropriate) sense of humor and was a great story teller.  Miguel was very passionate about helping others. He was always very generous with his time, talents and resources.  Miguel positively impacted so many lives, and he will be truly missed.
