Mike ACKROYD

Lynn,
I was sorry to hear of Mike's passing and the troubled years he had. My memories of Mike were all good. We had a lot of fun playing hockey in Benny Park with his close friend Ernie & our gang, playing winter soccer with a tennis ball in the St Monica's school yard at recess and in later years touch football with Frank B. I always thought of Mike as a great athlete although he had the craziest wind up for his slap shot and he was one of the least natural dancers at the high school...

Back in the day, Mike was a good friend of our "gang", an excellent athlete and fun loving N.D.G. guy. Even in his troubled last many years he still had a memory that would put most of us to shame. I hope that now he finds the peace that was taken away from him, after the aneurisym.

RIP Augie Pompoofinik. We sure had some laughs working together all those years at Williams & Esber. I am sorry that your last years were not your best.

Dear Lynn and family,
Mike was a good friend of my late husband Ken Lewis and myself. We spent many a Sunday watching baseball at a field in N.D.G. Park Row West actually. We had a group of maybe 10 people who met every Friday Night at the BonVoyage Tavern. We lost touch with Mike after he left his townhouse in D.D.O in the 90's. May I extend my deepest Sympathies to you and your family. Mike rest in peace.
