Dear Joyce, dear Steve,
It is now more than 25 years since I met Mike and Rita in Spanaway while spending my vacation with my brother Michael on the West Coast.
We spent a few days together and Rita and Mike have been proud to show us their homeland. I will never forget this time.
Sometimes we had the opportunity to share news about our families via phone and I was always planning to come back to Spanaway to meet them again.

Bill Truitt, I served with Mike in Viet Nam, and attended cermoneys at Ft Lewis for the 2/1 cav with him. He was a good man, and a good soldier, a true American. He will be missed.
