Mike Celizic

My name is Zoe Koplowitz. Mike Celizic was, as the kids would say, my BFF for the last 21 years. He accompanied me on most of my NYC Marathons which was no small feat since they take between 28 and 33 hours to complete.
I was honored to spend quality time with him in the final months of his life. He asked me, as he approached the end, to leave him brief cell phone messages, even after he was unable to respond. Just to let him know I was still there for him. I kept my word.

My name is Kathy Roller, I worked at Kea Travel in Closter, NJ for years and had the extreme pleasure of working with the Bergen Record Sports Dept, Mike Celizic being an intricate part of the department. He was a joy to know and to work with, he even stopped into the office to autograph his book for me. I would like to send my thoughts & prayers to the Celizic family as well as the Record family... I attended High School with Mike. We were on the football team together. Though we went our different paths in life, I was always proud to say, "I went to school with Mike Celizic." I will miss just knowing that he is there. May God bless him and his family.
