From the early 80s I listened to metal church and always compared each album to Metallica's album of the same year when they would release one and I always would say, Metallica won, but a mysterious thi g happened, even though all those years the comparison was so close metal church never won, but this one year an album came out with mike as singer, and the closest competitor was Metallica black album, and metal church blew them away, Mike was that reason...R.I.P Mike, you are no longer in...

Sad news. Met Mike coaching hi son Elijah in youth basketball with my son. He auditioned for my band Crossbones in its infancy just before he reunited with Metal Church. We lived in the same neighborhood. He helped me fix the roof on my house. Good, solid, hella guy.
