As a long-time close friend of his daughter, Laura, I have to say, MJ was a true gentle giant. I remember sitting around his kitchen table with all our friends, gossiping amongst ourselves and catching up. He tolerated all our college-aged banter and always chimed in with jokes and sage advice. He was such an intelligent, hilarious person, and dedicated dad to Laura and Ian, and honestly... to all of us. I will carry his memory in my heart forever.
