I have many fond memories of our times together, and will always remember his big smile, his warm personality and his beautiful, long blond hair. I know he is missed by many. Mike was the first friend I made when I moved to Austin. He truly was a loyal friend, helping me fix my car, and things around the house, as well as to move, on more than one occasion. After knowing me only a few months, he asked me to join his dart team, and this sinched our friendship of 33 years. We enjoyed several of the same friends, parties, and concerts. He became one of my best friends, and is already sorely missed. Mike Maynard, I love you man.

So many years we spent playing against each other, and sometimes, with each other when you all would have me sub on the team. I am saddened by your passing. But I smile at all of the wonderful memories that I have of you, your sense of humor and your calming presence. I am richer for having known you for 30 years. I will miss our games and you.
