I know he was an honest person and will never think otherwise. Learning of his death made me very sad. However now I realize he had a remarkable life. He deserved those good parts of his life. Mike Moeller was everything anyone could want in a friend: smart, compassionate, funny, loyal, strategic, resilient, and there for me when I wasn't sure anybody would be. All that, and the man could also take a bullet and live over it. Life happened in between, but I always believed we'd have the chance to share more unforgettable times. I will always feel this loss, but I will always feel lucky to have spent my early career working with and for Mike Moeller.

For those of us who worked with Mike, we know he was a good man and deserved better than what he got.
Those who were close to him knew him best and we all bled when he became a political target. Rest in peace.
