Not sure what to say?

I am deeply saddened to learn of Mikes passing. He was a man of enormous generosity who never met a golden retrieveror any doghe didnt like, at least as far as I know. He provided leadership for TVGRR even after he was ready to turn over the reins ... er, the leash.

I know that when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge, he was mobbed by innumerable grinning goldens and their wildly wagging tails. Mike touched so many lives, human and canine. He leaves a jagged, gaping hole among those...

Mike was always there when there was a need for rescue help. A supporter, a friend, and a very kind man. I will miss knowing he is out there. The crew from Dames for Danes thought the world of him.

I hope that all of the babies you have loved waited for you at the bridge and that today you are all playing, loving and laughing.

Mike...I will miss your wit, your quick smile, your sincerity when you spoke of your dogs and your big heart. I remember when I first met you almost three years ago and you told me you rescued dogs...my first thought was what a huge heart you have and how lucky the dogs were! Im going to miss you mike and the only comfort I have is knowing youre with the ones who youve saved and theyre with the one who saved them. RIP my friend.

Mike, this is real hard for me because I will always remember going over to your grandmother and grandfather Nelson house in Chula Vista during the holiday's and at night playing hide and seek. I will always know you as Mickle-Pickle. I remember taking you to see Transformers when you were here in 1981 and your Rubics Cube. I will miss and I will love your forever. When you see your Dad you tell him HI for me.

I never got to meet Mike but because of his love for animals and his dedication to rescuing them, I was able to adopt two beautiful and wonderful girls that were rescued by Tennessee Valley Golden Retriever Rescue. I will be forever grateful.

Thanks to his work rescuing animals he brought joy to the lives of countless people and animals. There is a special place in Heaven for those who are kind to animals.

Thank you, Mike, for the many hours of fun and laughter two...

Im at a loss for words my son, you left this earth way too soon. My only saving grace is you didnt suffer and your at peace. I know you crossed that rainbow bridge just like all the dogs you sent across it. Now no worries just play with the dogs and go fishing with your Dad! Just know I loved you with all my heart and Ill miss all your funny ways and your smile, and oh your bar-b-queuing on Sundays!
I love you son,
Mom
