Mike Olheiser

Mike Olheiser, 66, West Fargo, ND died on Sunday, March 4, 2012 surround by his family at Sanford Health Palliative Care, Fargo, ND after suffering multiple strokes since December. Michael Olheiser was born on March 20, 1945 at Napoleon, ND to Frank and Barbara (Wald) Olheiser. He grew up near Linton, ND and attended school there. He served in the US Army from 1968 to 1970. Mike married Bernadette Baumgartner on September 19, 1970 at Linton, ND. They made their home in West Fargo. He worked at Fargo Packing for a short time and then for the City of West Fargo in the sanitation department. He also drove bus for Nativity School for a few years. Mike loved spending time with the grandkids and enjoyed hunting, fishing, BINGO and going to the casino. Special thanks to the staff at Sanford Palliative Care for their warmth and care offered to Mike and family. He is survived by his wife, Bernie, West Fargo; two sons, James, Fargo and Darin (Danielle), Fargo; two grandsons, Austin and Logan Olheiser; two brothers, Joe (Alice), Strasburg, ND, Tony, Linton, ND; two sisters, Betty Bosch, Linton, ND, Barbara (Gary Prouty) Geisen, Grand Forks, ND; brother-in-law, Dale Ullrich, Glyndon, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ann Ullrich; and brother, George. Visitation: Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM with prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo. Funeral: Thursday at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, West Fargo.
