Not sure what to say?

Upon arriving at GWU in 2009, Mike was one of the first people my sister and I met. His warm smile was very welcoming and he immediate,y made us feel at home. We quickly become good friends with a Mike. Not only did he help us to succeed on the golf course and in the classroom, but he also took the time to ensure that we had some good laughs along the way. Mike touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. In honor of Mike and all the good he brought for the world, we have...

Mike was a very genuine, kind person. No one was a stranger to him. I was in high school with him; he even dated my sister several times. When I coached golf at GWU, he was a tremendous help to me and all of my golfers. We will certainly miss such a positive, encouraging person. Prayers for all the family members.

Our condolences go out to the entire Roebuck clan. May God's peace be with all of you during this difficult time.

Dear Alan and Janet,

May God bless each of you and heal your pain.
Jackie and Henry

Mike was one of the greatest human beings you could ever meet. I was honored to work with him and for him for more than a decade. Thanks Mike for all you did for me and the women's basketball players at GWU.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

Such a kind man, always willing to help those in need. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I taught French and Mathematics at Gardner-Webb for 31 years. When I think back of those wonderful years, people who are very special come to my mind. I always treasured the fact that I came to know Mike Roebuck. He was the picture of kindness and understanding of other people.

The world is a much better place because Mike lived here among us.

May it comfort his family that so many of us loved him and treasure the fact that he was a part of our life space.

I write this on behalf of my daughter, Brianna, and her roommates, Anna, Katie and Devin (who are out of town). I know that they were all devestated by Mike's death. Brianna described Mike as one of the kindest, caring and most positive men she knew. She said that he did so much for the GWU volleyball team. Our thoughs and prayer are with his family and friends.
