My condolences to the Sims Family, I just learned of his passing. I met Mike about 10 years ago at a medical readiness symposium in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was in the billeting room next door to mine on the base. We hit it off immediately and thus started a 10 year long friendship. I saw him a couple times after that at various conferences, but most of the time we stayed in touch by email. I last heard from him via email in early April 09. Was thinking about him the other day and sent...

Theresa,

I read about Mike's death the day Mother died. You two made a great couple. You took such good care of him. And he absolutely adored you.

To the Sims Family,
May God be with you and your family at this time of sorrow.

Theresa & family My name is Jamie (Hall) German and I am a cousin of Mikes. The family information line it seems is very short as time goes on. I am so sad to here about Mike. I remember him & Pat comming to stay at our house in Sedalia to visit Grandma Jolly when she lived with us. It seems that was where most of the cousins ended up and I have many fond memories of those times. You are in my prayers!

I was a classmate of Mike's at PHS. We shared some good times as high school friends. He was a great young man then and from reading about his life I think he became a great adult all around from patriot to husband and father, as well as a person who shared his love of sports by volunteering his time with so many. To his family my deepest sympathy. I have only fond memories of our friendship at PHS. Sincerely, Luanne (Arduino) Planchon
