Mike Thomas

My husband and Mike were best buddies since grade school. John's mother often called him her 3rd son. I met Mike in college when he'd visit John in Ann Arbor, and then many times after sailing, and motoring on first his dad's boat and then his own fleet. Not only was Mike successful in the finance world, those who knew him experienced a friendship that lasted a life time. Thoughtful, kind, generous, and loads of fun. He will be missed by so many. Love you Mike. Always will.

My deepest sympathy to Mike's family. I worked at First Chicago during Mike's tenure there - he was a delightful and truly a joy to encounter at an event. May memories be a comfort to all who loved him.

Diane, Nancy and I send our sincere condolences to you and John. I have very fond memories of Mike. Such a personable and intelligent husband and father. Stay well.

I´m still in shock. Mike was a rare bird, and there is a big empty place now in the lives of many. I met Mike at Duke in 1971 when some great guitar music floated down the dorm hall. I expected to find a great record playing .. but it was Mike practicing .. he was already good, way back then. Oh, my friend, we wish you fair winds and following seas on this next journey.

Diane and John, we are deeply saddened to hear of your loss of Mike. He truly (!) was a kind soul with a loving heart, always ready to help and to give. He was lucky to have you both and you, him. You will be joined together again in Heaven.
