His nephew Eric Varner and I, his nephew by marriage, deep mourn the loss of our beloved uncle, a man of rare wit and charm whose affability and kindness served to make him loved and respected by all those who had the good fortune to know him. Going back many years in downtown San Luis Obispo history, I believe Mike's mother worked for a time with the United Meat Market in the 700 block of Higuera Street. Our condolences to Mike's family.
