Mike Watkins

Mike Watkins, 54 of Magnolia, Arkansas died Monday, December 6, 2010 at his home in Magnolia. He was born June 22, 1956 in Waldo, Arkansas. He was a pumper for Albemarle Corporation and a member of the First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewey and Katie Watkins and Herbert and Coy Herring. Mike is survived by his son, Josh Watkins and wife Jill of Magnolia; daughters, Jodi White and husband Greg of Benton, Gracie Watkins and Victoria Sewell both of Magnolia; parents, H.I. and Ruth Watkins of Waldo; brother, David Watkins and wife Sheryl of Magnolia; sisters, Carolyn Smelser of Waldo, Kathy Byrd and husband Tom of Magnolia, Linda Ball and husband Donnie of Emerson; grandsons, Jordon Watkins of Magnolia and Logan White of Benton; granddaughters, Joanie Beth Watkins of Magnolia and Claire White of Benton; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Eric Goble officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Palbearers will be Ernie Emerson, Clayton McNeil, Tim Wooley, Jimmy Hutchinson, Steve Keith, and Mark Callicott. Memorial may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to First Baptist Church.
