Mike Willis, Sr.
July 24, 1942 - August 15, 2021
Raleigh, North Carolina - Mike is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus, in whom he had faith. He is reunited with family and friends and is socializing, laughing and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, of 46 years, his son, Mike and his wife Vanessa, daughter Katie McWilliams and husband David and six grandchildren - Maddie, Palmer, Luke, Sarabeth, Ben and Evie.
They miss him dearly but find immense comfort in knowing he is fully Mike again.
Mike was born in Washington, NC to Phillip and Olive Willis. After high school, he graduated from UNC in '65 with English and Political Science degrees before serving in the Navy.
He was a Top 100 Xerox sales representative. During this time, he met and married Nancy. Once he had children, he left his sales career to be at home more. He worked at Belk Service Center until retirement. In 2009, Mike was a founding member of Harvest Raleigh.
He was a loving husband, the best dad and a beloved Papa. Mike's smile, wit, warmth, kindness and generosity was an example to many.
Our family is forever grateful to his caregivers who loved him and us so well.
