Mikell Dean Speaks

Condolences to the Speaks family. I knew Mike for many years. He was a good business man & a kind person. May he rest in peace.

Mike was such a blessing to Michelle and I for the first few years of our marriage. Mike and Carolyn started the first nearly married and newly married class at CHBC. They poured out their lives into ours and made a great impact to many young couples. We made some long lasting friendships in their class. Mike will be sorely missed by so many.

I met Mike at Auburn when I was teaching Surveying. Then we became friends in 1974 when I became the County Engineer for Mobile County. Mike was an excellent consulting engineer that the county employed on numerious occasions thru out my 42 years there. A Christian and true Southern Gentleman. He will be missed. Rest in Peace old friend.

A Godly special man who always was kind to me while a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. My love and prayers to Carolyn and the family! Blessings! Ronnie McCarson

Mike was a dear Christian brother. I could not even hear his name and not think of Jesus. Mike had such an influence on my life as a Christian brother and godly Businessman. In my 40 plus years of building homes he did all my engineering. He helped me so much in understanding about land. He was on Bro Fred and mine Barnabas ministries board. I didn't know the Mr. Speaks but I taught all of his grandkids and I know the Speaks family a great god-fearing people and I offer my sincerest condolences to all of you during this difficult time. God bless you all
