Mikio Matsubayashi

Enjoyed fun times w/Mikio's friends, even though I did not speak Japanese, during the 2 years at Pasadena City College. He was a gentleman, friendly and had many interests; always remained true to his friends. Cherish his friendship even after he returned to Japan and a brief visit to my family later. So sorry I did not know he was here in SoCal. Thank YOU, LORD, for Mikio! To his family and sister: MGBY...SM! May GOD Bless You...Some More!

Pasadena City College memories: few short minutes to talk, share thoughts about class struggles/grades, gathering w/friends, going to the Royal Ball, dining near the campus. Visits after graduation. Do cherish those memories. You are blessed to be his wife, children and grandchildren. It has been 60 years since I met Mikio at Pasadena City College. For some reason I was led to enter his name on Google and found that he has passed away but most of all I was surprised to see that he was right here in So Cal. The last time we met was when he returned from Japan for a brief visit and reconnected with me and my family. He was a dear friend. My condolences to you his wife and family. Mikio was my grandfather we had some great times. Every time he came over, me and my siblings would put hats on him and call him the most wonderful man I love him so much!!!

Mikio was a gem of a person. His calm, cool, and positive demeanor was always something I was in awe of. I will never forget the CDs he gave me, which he would make while traveling internationally. I have been trying to look him up for a few years, and every so often I google him, since losing his number after I moved away. I was shocked to learn this news, but thankful that the world was blessed with his presence for as long as it was. my friend. See you one day!
