MILDRED ANN "MILLIE" ADAMS Funeral services for Mildred Ann "Millie" Adams, 76, will be Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with Reverend Bruce Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with the assistance of Aubry Harris, Jim Douglas Harris, James Clark, Colton Clark, Brian Douglas and Michael Presher. A time of visitation and support for the family will be held Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The daughter of the late William Carroll Scrivner and Mildred Inez Cooper Pride, she was born November 13, 1947 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She passed from this life to life eternal holding her son's hand on November 25, 2023 in a Denton hospital. A graduate of Ardmore High School, class of 1966, she went on and received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Oklahoma. She taught school in the Oklahoma City area for many years, and retired from Dunbar Elementary. She and James Howard Adams were married August 30, 2002. She had a crush on him since they were seven. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister Mary Elizabeth Sigman. She is survived by her son James Clark; grandchildren, Nathan, Michaela, Dallas, Austin, Tyler, Colton and Kenzie. She is also survived by her sister Laura Carol Harris.
