Mildred Irene Bondy

I am very saddened to hear of Millie's passing. she was my chief operator for years in Auburn, and kept the phone company there for a long time. Always talking one on one with us new hires. She sent me home for coming to work on my motorcycle and wearing a Coulotte--well a while after guess what her and Gus bought--a pair of them-you just loved her, respected her, loved working for her- and cherished her friendship -rest in peace

Millie was one of a kind. She gave me my first real job at the phone company when I was 19 years old in 1969. She always had a kind word a smile on her face. Years later she was always glad to see her tel- belles again. RIP

To Millie's Family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Millie was such a great friend to my parents, Biddy and Bob Secaur. After they moved to NC, Millie was a true and faithful connection to Auburn. She sent many cards and my parents so enjoyed her frequent phone calls. In the months after my mom's death, Millie's phone calls to my dad gave him such comfort. Millie was truly a force of nature.....she will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her....Cynthia
