So sorry to hear that your mother / mother-in-law is no longer with us. She has been ready to join her true love in heaven for some time now, I believe. She has a special place in my memory for all the good times I spent in Lake Orion, especially during my teenage years. She had a very strong sense of family and she (and your dad) passed this on to each of their boys.

Regretfully, I am unable to come for the funeral, as I am scheduled to speak at a conference...

God has taken you back to be with the one you loved and have missed so much. May you always be at peace and know that you will be missed and remembered with great fondness. I'll forever treasure our trips from Lake Orion to Belle River and the early childhood memories in Alan Park.
