Mildred A. Coffey

Coffey, Mildred A. “Millie” (Gilbert)- 90,  A resident of  Arlington for over 60 years, formerly of Somerville where she was born and raised, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on January 23, 2017.

Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Jeremiah “Jerry” Coffey and the loving mother of Patricia “Patty” Borges and her partner Richard Jones of Arlington and the late Jeremiah “Chris” Coffey and his late wife Marie. She was the sister of Ernest E. “Sonny” Gilbert, Jr. of FL and the dear grandmother of Jason Borges and his wife Jacqueline of Arlington, Brian Borges of Miami, FL, Matthew Coffey and his wife Catherine, and Michael Coffey all of NC.  Millie was also the great-grandmother of Joshua, Juliya, James, and Jessalyn Coffey all of NC.

The funeral procession was held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway in Somerville on Friday morning, January 27, 2017, at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Eulalia Church in Winchester at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends were invited. Calling hours were held on Thursday, January 26, from 4-8 p.m. Interment was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington.
