Miss Fulhage was a good friend of my late mother (Elizabeth Wilkinson Vaughan) who was also a musician and a former teacher in the Kansas City, Kansas school district. I met her many times and heard my mother praise her as a fine professional and a good friend.

While I was only in her choirs during my 9th and 10th grade years, her influence has lasted a lifetime. Having received my music education degree, every time I directed a group, I thought of her. I didn't realize at the time what a master teacher she was. Her structured rehearsals, the breath and depth of the literature was truly amazing. We performed pieces that many colleges would hesitate to try. Her LOOK was all it took to "shape up." I thought I was cute making a minor chord into a...

Miss Fulhage taught me to sing and anything I have ever done well in that line, I owe to her. Bless her. What a marvelous teacher, I had her from 1957-1959 at Rosedale.
