MILDRED REGINA "SISSY" KOREN, Age 84, a resident of Albuquerque, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. She is survived by daughters, Maureen Manring and husband, Art, Lauretta England and husband, Bruce; son, Lawrence G. Koren and wife, Maria; grandchildren, Tom Cordova, Onesimo Guerrero, Cassandra Manring, Taylor Manring, Justice Koren, Maddox England, Carson Koren, and Dahlton England; great-grandchildren, Christopher Cordova and Lilly Guerrero. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannie Koren; siblings, Gerald "Jerry" Coombs, Catherine Mabie, and Joan Merry; and her parents, Mildred and George Coombs. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and beginning in her early teens, lived in East Worcester, NY. Mildred was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. Mildred was a wonderful cook which will be missed by all those who enjoyed it. She was a retired Civil Service employee with many years of accounting and finance background including the banking industry. Mildred spent many years living abroad and in the United States during her time as a military wife. The family would like to thank the following, Share Your Care Ponderosa location, Heartland Hospice, Evangline Camacho with The Older American Program, and caregiver Mona Jaramillo. A very special thank you to her daughter Lauretta, her husband Bruce, and their children for being caring, loving and compassionate for the past 8 years and allowing her the comfort of passing in their home surrounded by family. A service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at French - Lomas Chapel. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at French - Lomas Chapel.
