Mildred Longchamp

I'd spent a lot of my childhood at my grandparents' Jim and Shirley Gauthier's house and thus grew up around Mrs. Longchamp. In my adolescent and early teenage years I used to stay at their house during the summers even while they were away at work. Sometimes, I'd get bored being alone, and I'd walk down to Mrs. Longchamps house to play Rummikub, drink tea and have little snacks. I will miss all of our games of Memory and the wonderful cups of tea we enjoyed together. You were a big part of my life and I will always remember you. I hope that heaven is wonderful, because you deserve to be there. I will miss you greatly Gram Gram.

Was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Longchamp's passing. My husband & I were out working in our garden today when Connie drove by to look at Millie's old house, and we were so pleased to meet some of her family, for we have heard many great stories about her from our wonderful neighbors up the hill, Jim & Shirley. Mary and family, I loved your Mom....she would babysit my brothers and I when we were little and we couldn't wait for Mom and Dad to go "out" so Mrs. Longchamp could come babysit!!! Many fond memories of those times.... especially the tea parties. What a gentle sweet lady she was!!! And the memories you shared at the service were beautiful. You were blessed to have her for so many years and she will be missed.

Mrs. Longchamp was a longtime neighbor and friend here on Cassie St. Have listened to many of her stories and she sure could make a great apple pie. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Deb LaCasse, Barre, VT
