Mildred Scott Nance, age 92, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was born September 15, 1928, in Robeson County, NC to the late Gurney Scott and Ophelia Ivey Scott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clinton Merl Townsend, her late husband, Albert Nance, and two sisters, Lucille Townsend and Brenda Faulk.
She is survived by a son, Clinton Eugene Townsend and wife Kay of Fairmont, NC; a daughter, Sharon Townsend of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Bonnie Willoughby and Martha Townsend, both of Fairmont, NC; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
All services will be private.
