Not sure what to say?

I will always remember the giant photo of a lion in Mildred's office captioned..."It's my opinion and it is very true..." accurately representing her lion-hearted, kindly approach to life.

I was agonizing about how to respond negatively to a request from my group. Mildred advised me just speak honestly straight out, and she added "politeness will get you through anything."

With fondest memories, may you rest in peace.

May you find peace and comfort in the wonderful gift God has given us mentioned in John 3:16 during this time of stress. Draw close to God and he will draw close to you.

Mildred helped to make the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Boulder community a better place for so many faculty, students and staff. I will always cherish her kindness to me and many others. I extend my deepest condolences to her family.

Mildred was my 2nd mother. I loved her so much for so long, but I am one of many. Once we were driving around in East Boulder County when she pointed to a bird sitting on an electrical wire. She said "...you know Beth, when I pass, I want to come back as a bird on a wire...,"(so I can see and hear everything for miles...).

Whenever I see a bird on a wire, now I'll be saying "Hi, Mildred."
