Mildred Blanche Owens

Mil encouraged me to apply for a job I never would have imagined for myself. But she thought I would be good at it. Decades later, buoyed by her confidence in me, I ran and was elected elected Oxford County East Register of Deeds and served two terms. A Democrat in the Republican landslide years no less! A major life achievement. I lit a candle at the Norway UU Church and told that story. She was an amazing person. A kind word can change a life.

A truly kind, classy lady.

Mil was a special lady. She loved to walk outside by the pond. She would sit on the sun on the bench and read her book. She had her tablet to watch her families special events they were out of town if she couldn't attend. She was always smiling and bright and full of encouragement. She loved her boys. They had always been there for her. She is missed and loved by so many. Karen
