One of the good times I had with Aunt Mildred....It was new Years Eve and they had called Uncle Walter to work. We had a lot of snow and ice and he worked at Duke Power and Electric. Well, we was thinking of something to do, so we thought of just calling people on the phone just to wish them a Happy New Year. Some people was mean and some was nice. We had a good time. I have fond childhood memories of playing @ Mrs. Mildred's house while she fixed my mom's hair and she cut my hair as well. She always had the neatest toys for us to play with. She was a very sweet & caring person. It is wonderful to know that she has gone on to be with her loved ones & that we will see her again.
