age 96, departed this life February 4, 2022. She was a retired physical education teacher who taught at A. G. Gaston Junior High School. Services were held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Elmwood Mausoleum Chapel. Smith & Gaston directing.
So sorry to hear of Mrs. Varner's passing. May she RIP. I was in her phys ed class and on her volleyball team. She was strong and gave her students the truth. When we speak of A G GASTON JR HIGH we remember great teachers like her and smile.
