Mildred WITT Obituary
Mildred was a member of James River Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, dancing, traveling and reading. She was also a great cook.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Brent Witt; daughter, Marie Shipman (Roger); grandchildren, Travis Leeper and Tiffany Short; great-granddaughter, Kyndall Leeper; nephew, John Blelloch (Wanda); and great-nephew, Chris Blelloch (Heather).
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 6, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at James River Baptist Church, 4931 Centerville Road, Williamsburg. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.

Mildred, you are a caring, loving and wonderful person. You always had a smile on your face, as thou we could see your heart shining through,always so happy to spend time with us. You held a very special place in Dennis' heart, as he often talks about what great "God Parents" he had in the two of you, and how he spent a lot of his childhood with you, Brent and Marie. It was those times he cherishes so much. You were always there for him! You and Brent have given Dennis and I some wonderful memories to cherish for all our lives. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. I am very honored to have had you in my life. May you Rest In Peace.

Mildred was a wonderful friend to my grandparents Lee and Teby Pearson and a kind spirit above all. Our family's thoughts are with you at this hour of despair. Also keeping Brent in our thoughts. God bless you.
