Dr. Coburn was a fantastic professor and role model for me during my four years at John Carroll University. He served as my academic advisor and when I returned to JCU, I always looked forward to saying hello. I am terribly sorry for your untimely loss.

There is no words that can be said to make the pain go away. All that you can do is remember all of the great times you had as a family. Mr. Coburn, I am sure would like you to keep you're heads held high and for you to know that he loves you very much. Dear Coburn Family, I was shocked just now as I read my e-mail to learn of Miles' passing. I will have to find out the details from my parents today. I just want you to know that I will always remember Miles' warm smile and how kind and caring he was to me as a youth growing up in Brewster Park Club. He always had such a gentle manner about him. To the Coburn Family: I had the pleasure of having Dr. Coburn as both professor and advisor at JCU from 1997-2001. His knowledge, guidance, and warm, welcoming personality (not to mention his letter of recommendation) were integral in my entrance to medical school and pursuit of a career as a physician. I will remember him fondly and always hold him in the highest regard. Please accept my deepest sympathy for this terrible loss.

My sympathy is extended to the Coburn family upon the passing of Miles Coburn. He was a great friend to faculty, staff and studnets. He will truly be missed.
