Miles Clayton (Buzzy) Koger, 85, of Chattanooga passed away Nov. 28, 2016, in a local healthcare center. Born in Ider, Ala., on May 28, 1931, to the late Robert H. and Mary Sims Koger, he was pre-deceased by his sisters, Verla Koger, Laura Cole, Robbie Arp; and grandson, Jeremy Walker. He is survived by his wife, Doris Manning Koger; son, Eddie (Joy) Koger; daughters, Tera Walker and Tammy Greene, as well as five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Buzzy grew up in South Chattanooga, where he excelled at sports, especially baseball. He volunteered and joined the Army during the height of the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged having retained the rank of Sergeant First Class. Buzzy retired from Combustion Engineering after 33 years working primarily as a welding instructor. A private service was held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
