Leavitt, 84, of Danvers, Massachusetts, a native of Nahant, Massachusetts, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, vice president of Fireman's Fund American Insurance Company, died on Sunday, June 10, 2001. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12, 2001, 4-7 p.m., at Solimine, Landergan, & Rhodes Funeral Homes, 67 Ocean Street, Lynn. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, 9 a.m., at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, 10 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Nahant. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nahant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Nahant Public Library, Nahant Road, Nahant, MA 01908.
