Not sure what to say?

I was gifted a clay gargoyle from a special friend who bought one for himself the same day. The gargoyles are destined to be together . Beautiful art.

I just happened upon this obituary. I knew Miles in the years 1968-72. He worked, I believe, as a Town Planner for Trumbull, CT. He lived in Bridge-port CT and he had a pet raccoon for a while and a pet iguana. He also had a pet turtle from South America that I kept at my house while Miles went on a vacation. He became deeply immersed in Greek culture, wearing Greek garb and carrying worry beads. He was multi-talented and I'm sorry we lost contact all those years ago.

Miles was a dear friend, a kind soul, a great artist, and the perfect neighbor. I had hoped we would meet again but alas it is not to be. I hope somehow we can meet again for chile rellenos at La Indita on a Friday one day. To the dogs: Teddy, Janus, and Vesta, we are glad that you are reunited with your buddy. 1025 N 2nd Ave will never be the same but hopefully a piece lives on in your garden. We miss you, we remember you.

I really admired his gargoyles. I have had one hanging on my wall for the last 20 years.

Time does not heal all wounds! Missing Miles, a kind and loving friend. I think of you all the time!

Miles and I dated in the early 1990s. He introduced me to several creative people in Tucson, Arizona. He made gargoyles out of clay for a living. He was so devoted to his role as an artist that he refused to make money any other way, no matter the hardships involved. That said, he often flourished since his figurines were quite popular. We stayed in contact after I left Tucson. I would visit him for the holidays with my family when I came to town. I will miss seeing him on my biannual visits....

Our connection was both being stained glass artists in Tucson over a period of many many years. A lovely man, a good artist and craftsman, and gentle of soul. So sorry to read of his passing

For so many years, in the morning and late afternoon Year after year, Miles would walk his little dogs through West University neighborhood and always stopped to chat, sharing local news he'd learned along his route. He was an institution and will be missed.

Myles was a wonderful friend and neighbor. He always had time for a chat or visit to share news about our neighborhood. I will miss his laughter, sense of humor and goodness. Rest In Peace my friend
